sup
having some issues with my pc so i have taken my second hardrive (which contains purely movies/music etc, no windows install or programs) and put it into my brothers machine so i can access my files etc. problem is that the computer is detecting it and it shows up in device manager, but its not showing up under my computer and i cant access my stuff. the main harddrive in his machine is sata too. So how can i get mine to showup without formatting it (drive is a WD200gig if it helps) cheers |

goto computer management -> disk management the drive will show there but be listed as a foriegn drive. you can then right click on it and enable it for local use. |

By 'enable it for local use' he/she means 'mark partition as active'

looked round the net, seems the problem is that my 200gig is done as dynamic and xp home doesnt support dynamic discs (my brothers pc has xp home on it for some reason)
surely there is some patch or way round this? |
