Must be starting up very soon. I'm not fussed on it seeing as the last season was ass but I know I'm gonna watch it again. Hopefully the writers wont be making it up as they go along this time.

No matter how many episodes you watch you'll still be lost

It was quite some time ago and I wish i'd remembered the URL but it was an interview with LOST's producer. The question put to him was, is the plot following a specific arc he had in mind and how many seasons did he have in mind to tell the story?

His response was something along the lines of, oh no the story is going nowhere, the audence will be kept entertained and in suspense for as long as it is popular. There's no arc per se' it will keep going pretty well nowhere.

After watching the likes of Prison Break and Galactica, something as God awefully slow as this s*** instanly lost all remaining interest when I read that.

What they need to do is have Jack waking up as the plane lands in the US and he says something like, "it was only a dream". And then he gets on with his life.

Good thing it's not true - Lindelof has said he wants to only do 4 or 5 seasons. And they do work out the plot arcs in advance - they've already been quoted on what the season 3 finale will be like on spoilerfix, for instance.

I also read an interview with the producer and it said he knew roughly what it was all gonna be about, and it would be all over by the end of the third season. He also said that if he quits the show after 3 seasons the network will just find someone else to continue the show.
