Okay this has happened to me a few times before but normally unplugging my headphones and plugging them back in and restarting a song or whatnot would fix it..

basically when i go to play a song with my headphones plugged in it plays through my laptops speakers as well when i just want it to play through my headphones
any ideas?
thanks guys

the headphone jack itself most likely buggered.
if not under warrenty pull jack out and straighten up the 3 contacts

or get a small cotton bud and some cleaner, something alcohol based and give the actual plug a bit of a clean

I'm with clint (hate to say it) format, or at least re-install the headphone/soundcard drivers.
