My boss apparently had 4 copies of the beta, which he gave to 2 other people along with myself and another admnin. I haven't even cracked the plastic off of it as yet

there was a short while where the beta ran for free I have the cd keys for one version of the beta ... if you want I can give them to you but I am not a 100% sure if this is legal, illegal or barely legal

I guess you mean "Trial"
But, anyway, its crap, dont get it. It is full of bugs and not worth the trouble. I went back to Office 2003.

full of bugs? wtf - ive been using it for 2 months now and im yet to have run into one bug

can get a bit choppy at times, but so far, well worth the upgrade over 2003 - so stop worrying about $1.50 :/

note - above is based on using mostly word and publisher, viewing in powerpoint, not that much excel and no access - much <3 for the revamped referencing/contents page/cover page stuff in word tho ^_^

Have you had any trouble getting it to print correctly? I just couldn't get the bloody thing to print a normal page from Word. It kept zooming in to one corner even though the print preview looked correct. It also was way to slow being a beta (debugging code still in the background) and I cant say I'm a fan of the new interface.

Given I'm trying to run a business, it wasn't worth my time to frig with it. I'll just run 2003 for now.

printed heaps of uni documents so far - both word and powerpoint, all have been fine, no problems at all

also havnt noticed it to be that slow either - little chuggy opening big powerpoints, but thats bout it :/ (running 2gig of ram tho)

and i <3 the new interface, actually really good and easy to use - no more fiddling around with menu bars to change stuff (font changing in particular)

It didn't like printing a 15 page report with a ton of graphics, but I converted it to pdf and just used acrobat.

The new office absolutely kicks arse, I love it :D

Can you change it to classic interface cause the new one is ugly as sin.
