I'm curious as to whether anyone has any good drivers they've used and recommend for an Raedon 9600XT. Here's my system spec

CPU -> P4 3ghz
MB -> P4P800
Vid -> ATI Sapphire Raedon 9600XT
RAM -> 1g Kingston

My dilemma is that in World of Warcraft (Wow) I get some shocking FPS and while majority of it is due to my vid card I was hoping to boost a bit of FPS from new drivers before I go and buy a new vid card in the next 2-3 weeks.

My FPS in zones is about 40-50, in Ogrimmar it's about 20-30 and in MC while tanking it drops to 2 FPS. I realize that drivers aren't going to cause a significant rise in performance but it's my only hope until I get the dosh together to buy a new video card.

Also might be my settings.. I'm a noob

What Vid Card are you looking at getting in a couple of weeks?
If your staying with AGP I cannot recommend enough nVidia's 7800GS for ~ $500

I got the BFG 7800GS edition with a core clock of 400 which is caining along nicely at 490

Ive got exactly the same system specs as you except Ive got 1.5 gig of RAM and a p4 2.8ghz.

I use to be the same as you with one gig of ram when i ran wow. I got the same issues. At first i tried the omega radeon drivers, that didn't make any difference so i switched back the ATI drivers. What made the real difference was the extra stick of 512 i bought. Really helps wow because it chews up alot of memory especially in large raid groups and having add-ons running chews up even more memory. I invested around $100 dollars in a new stick, now it runs perfectly.
