Ok, here's the story. My B'day is coming up and the Mrs and I are looking to go away for a night or two. Any suggestions as to where to go? Price kinda is an issue as she is insisting on paying for (my birthday present) so i dont want to go overboard - we are both uni students.


Coast v Inland retreats - doesnt really matter.
Travel - < 3hrs drive
Cost < $300/night

monteville is good for sex

I just spent 3 nights at the Bunya mountains and it may suit you if u are a pov c***. The main attactions are - it's quiet as, u can open ur cabin door and there will be wildlife on ur doorstep. no mobile coverage not intaweb. You can go for bushwalks, you can take ur mrs for a horsedrawn sunset ride for like $10. There is a really nice resturant there but it will cost prolly more than ur accomodation. I recommend this if you want to get away for some quiet time or a major shag session.

I stayed at Colonial Cottage as I know the owner and this place was awesome. very romantic even tho I do not posses a single romantic bone in my body.

The things we blokes have to do for a root.

Maleny & Montville is where you want to go.. check out Tree Tops or just pick out a B&B. Spend the day bumming around the wineries and then into a restraunt at night before knuckling down for some hard core action.

Suggestions for Hinterland Spots

Montville/Malaney: The Falls Rainforest Cottages - individual cabins on the side of a hill surrounded by forest, Awesome cottages all have 2 person spa bath and the owners/managers are fantastic.

Gold Coast Hinterland: Pethers

North Stradbroke - Domain Resort - they have like log cabins and stuff

Couran Cove on South Stradbroke is good for a weekend getaway resort style.

usual places on gold and sunny coast.

My recommendation: Couran Cove - may be resort style but heaps to do and fantastic facilities.

went up to maroochydore a couple of months ago for 3 nights, was cheap as and decent apartment too think i stayed at the Grand Palais or something, check out wotif.com you will find something cheap for sure. it's a brilliant website

springbrook is good for sex. mountain chalets specifically. i won't tell you what unit so as to not gross you out.

My parents own a niiicee house in Maleny. Free B&B whenever I want it. OOO YER!
