Anybody using this phone? I can buy one brand new, unlocked and not on a plan for $260. I've read alot of mixed reviews on cnet. But has anyone here used one?

the phone itself is similar to a 6230i etc (or whichever model it is)... but with a shiny alloy case thing.. so it doesn't exactly sing/dance, but it looks very bling bling :)

Not that I know of. ^^ Found the buyer on ebay. Had 40 of them to sell. Emailed him and asked him how much. $260 came the response. Comes with the whole kit. car kit, spare battery, headphones ect ect.

$260 for a 6230i in a fancy case sounds like a waste of money

Please please please tell me you didn't sent him any money. That screams scam so loud. Its a common ebay scam. I hope for your sake you didn't send him any money.

apparently its common to actually get the phone sent to you but then you find that its LOCKED. So buyer be ware I guess... maybe its worth the risk.

edit: Upon investigating the model, I wouldnt even pay $260 for it... good god thats an ugly phone.

do the transaction through ebay, never through email

I'd pay $260 for it if it was legit, considering they are something like $1500 on a plan at the shops. Just screams BS to me.

I'm not that stupid. I havn't sent him the money yet. I sent him an email asking if it's genuine and asking for proof. I havn't heard back from him since.................But when I do, and if he's still all for it. I'll be requesting to send the money through ebay. So then I can get my money back if the goods don't arrive.
