Not sure if anyone out there cares but Pride FC has just announced Sergey Kharitonov vs Alexander Emelianenko at the open wight grand prix. Hope there are people out there as excited as me about this. MMA is just the best sport in the world by a long way. This one should be a slug fest.

Pride fighting championships dude, if you like boxing or any form of combat sport you will love it. It has less rules than the UFC and much better fighters. It is held in Japan, I know there a few guys around here who will know what it is.

is there any way of watching it?

I usually have to wait at least 3 days after before I can see it. I try not to read the results, I just wish this country would catch up.

PRIDE absolutely destroyed UFC, although since they introduced a whole bunch of new rules, the fights are quite exciting :)

This sounds like one hell of a match up.

The problem for the UFC is that they are just trying to make as much money as they can. That is why they have that Ultimate fighter reality show. Get guys who will fight for $3000 and make a bucket load off them. Although they did announce Wanderlei Silva V Chuck, Silva is the baddest man on this earth. What a fight that will be, if it happens.

Its exciting whe two guys are punching on, but when two sweaty guys start rolling around on the floor hugging each other... well it's as gay as it sounds.

Bah, Pride has a rule that if there is no attempt been made to punch, stomp or put a sumbission on they stand them back up. Most fights stay on the feet or else the fighters get docked pay, every yellow card is a 10% cut in their winnings.

Oh that sounds pretty cool then.

i am more excited about a bas rutten vs ken shamrock matchup.

I was too busy laughing that ken got even more demolished than their first fight. (time wise anyway) I sure hope they have another rematch.

fave fighters are mark hunt and jason 'mayhem' miller.. both awesome fighters for different reasons.

i guy i use to work with was into ufc and he gave me a whole heap of videos, that s*** was awesome, then pfc came on the scene and i wet myself.

Pride is heaps more entertaining than UFC. Fedor would kill any UFC fighter. His brother makes me lol as well.
