Some chump at Wow told me today that some Nokia phones only like nokia branded mini-sd/micro-sd cards. Have any of you guys had this experience? Or have you used other brands (ie sandisk) without a hassle? Just got a 6131 - my jox0rs are officially rox0red. |

hahahah
he probably thinks that the fact that Nokia's used to take MMC and not SD (as most devices would) meant they were proprietry Then again, he could just be an idiot. Should be no reason why they'd only work with their own brand... whats the point of conforming to a standard if you only support your own version of it? |

Mmm, only sorta true.
SanDisk and probably some other branded cards might not work with Nokias. They are kinda picky. On a similar topic, how bloody small are those uSD cards! I saw one the other week for the first time, holy crap. I bought a SanDisk UltraII+USB on special at JB the other week, coolest idea ever. Now they just need to release a uSD card that comes with an SD+USB adaptor. |

The phone may need a Dual voltage RS MMC. (Most Nokia's would)
As some brands don't have or specify wether the card is dual voltage or not. |
