Hi Guys,
Being the tech-savvy folks that you are, here is my perplexing question which is bugging the s*** out of me. At work we have ISA 2004 doing proxy/firewall and I use FireFox (1.5.0.4) on my laptop. Before I rebuilt my PC everything worked fine. However now it's all gone to s***. When I launch FF I get the authentication prompt to authenticate to the proxy server - standard deal. But when it loads any other object on that page or goto another site it continually prompts me to authenticate against the proxy server. The creditionals are stored in password manager and just hitting enter makes it all work. IE/Opera work fine but they both suck so I want to get this problem fixed. Steps I've done so far; - Google produces s*** about the problem. - Downgraded to 1.5.0 - Upgraded 1.5.0 upto 1.5.0.3 and 1.5.0.4 - Set proxy server for basic authentication - Configured NTLM/integrated authentication parameters in about:config in FF I've compared prefs.js between the guy sitting next to me who has it working and it's the same. Anyone encountered this before and knows an answer/solution? Cheers |

I had a similar problem at work as well. FF was working great. Rebuilt my machine....FF no longer worked....I ended up rebuilding again....FF worked....go figure :p |

*cry* .. sounds like some setting in XP that might be doing it.
Anything you did different the second time? |

Not at all...which is what pissed me off. I don't know if the rebuild fixed it...or if something out of my hands had fixed it. I honestly never found a cause or solution :/ |
