CHAOS WILL REIGN AGAIN IN 2006

The Frontier Touring Company are stoked to confirm that Taste Of Chaos, the surprise touring sensation of 2005 will return down under with an extra tasty lineup for 2006. The Rockstar™ Taste Of Chaos 2006 tour of Australia and New Zealand has attracted a stellar international lineup of Taking Back Sunday, Thursday, Anti-Flag, Underoath, Senses Fail, and Saosin.

Parkway Drive will appear as the mainstage domestic act in each Australian city while Cold By Winter will take the stage in Auckland. As with last year’s tour the smaller local stage will be reinstated to showcase the talents of local acts in front of thousands of fans.

i went with doob last year

we jumped the barrier to get into the front mosh, doob got in.

i got caught and taken out in a headlock to the the back room, ticked confiscated, kicked out of venue. then went back in the front, and 2 chicks snuck me into their premium seating area.

it's mainly metal-core which i'd say is a cross between punk, heavy metal and hardcore.

think emo

sorry, I'm an old school headbanger who grew up on a farm an then moved to the city.

I can't bring myself to think "emo",
The only time I get EDIT: emotyional emotional is when the last beer is flat, cracked or just plain empty (cause some emo wang not paying attention to his quality assurance role)

I wore face paint to a Manson concert once, does that count?

I hate emo-metal music... but I did attend the last tour, I was quite suprised.

Still s***, but that's my musical taste/opinion... some decent acts attending this year.

where'd this post go?

unnamedspammer: you should get some more sun
cool1t: can't, i'm like a dark evil vampire or something
unnamedspammer: what, an emo?
cool1t: nah not gay

can't see anything in the rules as to why it would have been deleted, so i'm guessing it got lost somehow

i figure it suits the topic well enough.

Yeah that sounds hells gay. I think I'll stay at home and write about slitting my wrists on live journal while listening to some Simple Plan.

In other, better music news, I hear Staind is heading our way. Anybody gonna check that out?

Taste of emo

I've never tasted an emo, but I imagine it tastes like make up and tears.

f*** the f***ing Taste of Chaos. f*** them in their stupid ass.

I paid $60 per ticket for me and my fiancee about 3 hours after the sales opened JUST to see Rise Against last time. They had pretty much sold out, so the only seats left were in the f***ing nosebleeds. Rise Against weren't doing any side shows, so I really had no choice.

Doors opened at 6pm or something to that effect last time. I got there at 6:20pm, only to hear Rise Against booming in the carpark. We raced in only to hear Tim shout "Hey thanks for coming out, we've got two songs left!".

Thats right. The best f***ing band on the bill began playing RIGHT as the doors opened, at 6pm, on a weeknight. $120 down the drain.

f*** you, Taste of Chaos.

it's mainly metal-core which i'd say is a cross between punk, heavy metal and hardcore.

Easy there champ. Parkway Drive are the only band on there I would class as Metalcore. The rest is pure Emo.

Parkway Drive is well worth the price of admission... but you could just wait until they played at The Basement for a real showcase of what they're all about. They're not a good band to watch from 50 metres away.

"Hey thanks for coming out, we've got two songs left!".

So they were half way through their set.

Another f*** you to TOC, bands playing like 5-6 songs. WTF!

Yeah it's ridiculous. Also the whole "Local band side stage" thing is f***ing stupid too. Last time, the local bands would play like 2 songs, then the next main stage band would set up and take over. They would finish, then the local band would play another couple of songs before the next band were on. No momentum whatsoever.
