Anyone else do a big "What the f***"?

Isn't the whole point of 24 being that it is 24 hours in real time?

How do they propose to do a movie? Make it 24 hours long?

I heard it on Enternatinment Tonight this afternoon. Nothing on IMDB but these guys got a sniff about it

I lost interest in the show when the guy got shot in the neck at point blank and then was back at work within the supposed 24 hour period an could turn his head easily

Gee this is breaking news.

Back when season 3 ended and I heard they were doing more I was worried. How could they possibly keep the entertainment up without the show going s***? After watching season 4 and 5 which were f***ing excellent, I am now convinced that these guys simply cannot f*** up.

Bring on the movie.

From what ive heard. Its going to be called "12" and its going straight to DVD and not released on the big screen.

^ I watched half of Season 1 in near real-time, which was mind-blowing .. so I'd be interested to see a "12" :)

ive watched series 1 2 3 5 and im half way through 4, each series is brillant. id have jack bauers babies any day. bring on a movie!

Maybe someone should have told groydis that you watch them in the order of 1,2,3,4 then 5. It sort of ruins them if you watch them out of sync.

Nothing can ruin 24

it doesnt really matter what order you watch it, theres no mythology each series is pretty independant from the last, i guess if you watch series 5 first and see all the charcters die then you wouldnt be too suprised watching the 4 series prior to it, but meh im the kind of person who gets so involved with the show that im watching while watching it i tend to forget everything else.

i disagree groydis. they should be watched in order because there are many historical references throughout all the 24 series.

I don't see the problem. It'd still be in real-time, but only cover a 2 hour period or whatever.

Much better idea than dragging the storyline out over 24 eps too..

I gotta agree that the 24 concept is a bit silly for a movie. But you must remember Kat that Hollywood has officially run out of original ideas and we be subjected to remakes of American TV shows until the world blows up.

The creators of 24 are making a show called 13 in a somewhat realtime format with new characters in a film noir style. Read this six months ago too.

I'm not quite sure when 13 or the 24 film is getting made, or if it is being done in parallel. Only that Bauer will be back for season 6 in January, probably based in China :)

I predict that they will use his mission in Kosovo that happened before s1 as a plotline.

From what I understand the movie is meant to take place between season 6 and 7, so expect it to be released sometime mid-late next year. I read a while back that it was going to be a 2hr long movie, where the first hour is played out like a standard movie setting up the characters and pace, then the last hour would be in real time.

picked up season 1 dvd set for $50 the other day at sanity in stafford city.

Basically 24 Sucks. So the movie will as well. Simple.
