i'm sure this is a dumb question, but alas, these days i am an utter noob..
the 20gb hard drive died in my ibm thinkpad (Pentium III) and I need to replace it. do i have to a buy a replacement specifically designed for it from IBM? or can i put a generic 2.5" hard drive in it, like an 80gb or something off ebay? |

"plug, plug" eh applor? :P
anyhows, yes to agree, your standard run-'o'-the-mill 2.5" drive should operate fine, however which OS are you running? cause remember fat32 has "issues" with larger than 40gb drives (if you're gumby enough to be running win98 that is). |
