I think it's safe to say this guy is dead.

Don't click it if you don't like to see nasty stuff.

Pretty sure the thread should be titled, 'this is why you don't run from the police in a s***ty stolen 4x4, try to overtake on the shoulder where there isn't room and not wear a seatbelt while stealing a car'...

More like this is why you dont speed.

Took me a few watches to realise that was a body flying outta the car. Twas hammered big time.

Pretty sure the thread title looks more controversial and interesting this way.

[edit] spelling.

Same. Looking at the way the body flew you'd think it was a rag doll.

yeah his legs looked real stiff, hopefully he was dead before being hit by the other car :| man that would f*** you up seeing a body fly in front of your car when you're doing 100km/h down the highway and you couldn't avoid it

Personally, I think he could well have survived if he'd been wearing a seatbelt and stayed within the stong shell of the car.

Of course, accidents are funny things... sometimes people walk out of the horrific ones, and die in the minor ones.

I think itd be pretty safe to say he'd either be unconcious or dead when he hit the road, he got flung into the air a fair distance and landed pretty much smack bang on his head.

Thank you Darwin, for giving people the option to use safety devices. This has no doubt protected us from many other stupid events which might have been perpetrated by this guy :)

Still haven't watched the vid, but his chances of sustaining less injuries (provided he wasn't already dead) would be better if he was unconscious before he hit the road - when you are conscious in falls and stuff you make your body really rigid which is what f***s you up.

*Cringes*

If he wasnt a goner from the take off, the flight and the landing - being hit and dragged by a car certainly would have done it.

Yeah i'm pretty certain he is dead after being thrown from a vehicle, landing on his head, then being dragged underneath a car down the freeway =]

Hehe jim, at least yours wasn't on the road at high speeds whilst running from the police.

I normally don't like nasty things so I clicked the link with much hesitation. However, it was an aerial video so overall it didn't look that bad. Of course it was bad for the dude - rolling your car, getting flung from it at high speed, hitting your head on the ground and then getting run over. That is why you don't steal cars - it never ends well.

Another reason not to drive 4x4s, lost 5 tyres this year to screws and bolts on the road. :(

Also helmets. I would have died in an accident at 8 if not for wearing one.

My older brother (12 years older than me) ran into a kangaroo on a bike @ ~120km out west of Mackay years ago. Fortunately, he was wearing a full face helmut at the time. He skidded on his face (full face helmut) for quite a distance along the bitumen. If he hadn't been wearing a full face I hate to think of what might have happened as you could flex the entire jawline of the helmut withabout as much effort as you do a half empty A4 Spirax notepad.

Our mum was the one that found him a bit later as she was following him back from the rele's place (no he hadn't been drinking either) an noticed a bike skewed on the side of the road off in the ditch so she stopped an went an had a look (not even thinking it was my brother, just doing the right thing in case some poor random was messed up). Lucky he wasn't hurt any worse than some bad gravel rash (an I mean bad) oh, he needed to be carted off in an ambulance as well. All this before mobile phones became anything other than some gadget off Star Trek.

All my mates (avg age 15) who used to race round on dirt bikes on the farms pretty quickly swapped over to full face helmuts after looking at what happened to his helmut. Pity a mate an myself didn't wear full body armour on seperate occasions when we both hit barbed wire fences in seperate accidents lol. Both of us would have a lot less scars than we do =)

Edit: added in bit about ambulance
