Doing an ebay deal on a $100+ item and the dealer sounds kinda shady. I want some proof that the dude sent it, though he only wants to send via express. So i was just wondering if it can be done....Cant find anything like this on the AusPost website.

Yes they do. I bought an item of ebay and the seller gave me a reg number. Thing is I dont know how to track the item. I tried looking on the Australia post site but all I can find is the international tracker.
Edit: Sorry to derail the thread, if anyone knows please help |

Oh, I just remembered something, registered only covers $100. No, paying for just the registered post sticker insures for $100. If you want to insure for more you simply pay extra. Also, whats about C.O.D. Aust post dont hand the gear over till its paid for. Its a win win. As Bah said, you don't get to touch the item until you paid for it and once you paid for it AustPost don't want to know about it. So you have to trust that they did actually send it. |

Hmmmm but it would at least prove that he sent something. Not just the ol "Musta been lost in the mail" line.
Basically i'm buying some earphones. But the sellers account hasnt been used for a while. And all of a sudden he comes out of nowhere selling 6 sets of these rather pricey phones for half the RRP. He does have a picture of the six boxes though i guess it could be obtained from somehwere else. Seems a lil dodgy to me now in hindsight. Might wait for one of the other five peeps to give a comment on this trade then send cash. Or somehow convince the guy to do COD and hope i dont get a box full of air. How much is COD these days? 10 bucks still? |

Yes, you can have registered post on express post. You can also insure it. There's also Express Post Platinum. Seriously, just check australiapost.com.au
