Sharks. Crocodiles can't open and close their jaws like sharks, so they will just have to bite on and try and drown the shark. Only problem is, sharks have very tough skin and can also breathe underwater, which a crocodile can't do..
The Shark also has sharper teeth and can chomp away at the crocodile or could drown it aswell. A shark is also a stronger swimmer in the water. Not really any competition. Unless it was a Wobegon |

Contrary to what most people say, the most dangerous animal in the world is not the lion or the tiger or even the elephant. It's a shark riding on an elephant's back, just trampling and eating everything they see.

What a Deep Thought Jack i mean Jim.
Also, isn't there a thing about Sharks dying if you drag them backwards cause of the gills, so if the croc grabbed it from behind and pulled it backwards, or if the croc was able to get the shark in a sleep hold.... who knows.... God knows.... and he's not telling. Also++ http://www.tv.com/animal-faceoff/saltwater-croc-vs.-great-white-shark/episode/321728/summary.html http://flickr.com/photos/jasnat93/19488751/ |

Estuarine Crocodiles have gone as far south as Harvey Bay, Tiger Sharks are as far north as New Guinea, and even so I've seen Crocodiles in the surf up near Innisfail so they go out treking in the ocean too.

there was a documentary on this, and the croc won from memory due to it latching onto part of the shark and doing its roll
and if the crocodile was on a treadmill? who would win then? you're not funny, the treadmill is gay, sit down and be quiet |

Yeah and look at the size of the croc compared to the shark...and it's virtually on land. Now get a 20 foot white pointer and dump them in 50 ft of water.
all depends who gets the first (or best) grip. |

I reckon the owner of these choppers would pick his teeth with a croc. The jaws belong to a Megalodon, now believed to be extinct. However there is some speculation that this massive fish may still exist in the vast depths of the ocean. Reports vary but most scientists agree they grew to something in excess of 40 feet (12-13 metres) long, with some researchers believing that these creatures grew to over 70 feet (20+ metres). last edited by IncrEdible_vEgetable at 00:51:46 27/Apr/06 |

I had a 15 minute discussion about this with someone at work yesterday... there are so many variables, but really, it all comes down to crocodiles being apex predators.
I remember this time me and hardball went to the beach Later on, there was a shart alert. See what I did there? |
