Im sure SOME of you know what it is.. maybe there has been a thread about it already i dunno, anyway..

i was so keen to watch the FA Cup Semi between chelsea/liverpool on at 2am this morning on ESPN (Fox) but because i only have the basic fox digital package, it doesent include ESPN (which has the rights for FA cup) so i went to the internet to see if i could get a live radio stream or at least something (didnt suit to drive to pig n whistle or casino)

I got to know PPLive and within minutes i had the game live on the computer thru other tv channels that had the rights to the game..

I think the point of the thread was to show avid sport fans that there are alternatives to paying stupid amounts of $$$ for Pay-TV packages.

What was the point of your post? Seems just like a random post to try boost ones ego.

Also, Link might be nice.

why do interesting posts always attract the d*******s.. and the boosting ego comment.. you f***wit. Do i have to explain step by step how to get this s*** running? the smart people who have read this thread would have gone straight to google and found it, and ofcourse, got it running... without even having to ask questions or write f***ed up useless comments in this thread.

Im letting you c***s know that you can easily get free live streaming of tv channels from other nations that are free to air in that nation.. making it free to air to us if we had the means to get it..

Eg. if you had a satellite dish then you could get heaps of FTA channels from around the world of AsiaSat, Panama, Canal etc.. My work has a dish and the channel list is amazing. Heaps of free to air and heaps that you have to buy subscription for the channel (smart card etc.) As my work (la dolce vita caffe) is italian, we have the RAI Int Aus channel (different to the one on Fox) that we air on our screens when s*** is on (Serie A football)

In my case, ESPN on Fox has the rights to FA cup football.. therefore if you wanted to watch it you would have to have the platinum or at least sports extra packages from Foxtel.
In some countries like China,FA cup football is free to air (DragonTV) .. so i linked to that channel via PPLive and watched the game, Live. Only bung attribute was the chinese commentary/chinese text.

I tried to look up some info on PPLive but it was full of Chinese characters and the site broke.

Just a heads up about this. It seems that it isn't very good at uninstalling itself. It leaves the firewall ports open (which isn't that unusual I guess, cause it's the firewall thatr manages those), and leaves the "engine" thing installed in Program Files\Common Files. It also leaves some registry keys floating around.

Still, pretty nifty for those sports fans out there...

Yeah i think the main market for this is china at the moment.. however we can still tap into it. www.pplive.com is the website, when it loads you'll see 'English' in english at the top which looks like a menu bar or some s***, by clicking that will take you to the english version... or just go here www.pplive.com/en/index.shtml

When installed it will put a PPLive TV Engine which when run will appear on the taskbar( near time), it will be in chinese language tho you can change it to english easily.

The best website by far in my opinion for TV station listings is www.WWITV.com with over 1200+ tv, radio, web stations listed from nations all over the world.

Have Windows media player and real player and in some lesser cases Winamp as they are the primary programs for streaming.

www.Football4Less.com is the site where updated every day in advance of live Football games from all leagues around the world, available to watch live.

www.AsiaPlate.com another sports/football site.

For the advanced or near, as you get to know this better you'll see that there are 5 types of stream. ie, there is PPLive, PPStream, SopCast.. etc. On the football4less site you'll see that the streams are also available or in somecases only available with one or a few of the stream apps.

Another interesting thing, as this is P2P you can set up your own streams.. ie, there is a Mr Bean channel available with 24/7 around the clock Mr Bean, and another, there is 24/7 007james bond movies channel. Tho as most of these have been set up by Chinese, its all in english but in most cases with chinese subtitles.

anyway, have fun..

The point is we honor American copyrights and protect them with the law. The laws are less "similar" than they are "we may as well be the same country as far as copyright is concerned". If this is legal, why?
