I have a bunch of user that run Word 2002/XP that create documents with pictures inserted (not linked). The user saves the document and prints it fine. When the user reopens the document, where the pictures were is just a black border however if you press print or print preview the pictures pop up and print fine. Its as if it doesn't bother loading the image, just the footprint where it will go.
They are already running Service Pack 3 for Office XP/2002. Any other ideas? Thanks |

it happens all the time just scrol down and up or click on where the pic should be and it will appear.
i think its got something to do with the way word handles pics. |

yeah i know, thats the problem. Where the site is, they have about 50 dekstop users who "shouldn't have to scroll up or down".
Is there a fix that anyone knows of? |

I had the exact problem at work, and i worked out that the PC's affected all had ATI video cards and were using the original HP ati drivers ... updated them to latest drivers and it was all fine again
there were a few laptops there and to put on the latest drivers for your laptop if youve got ATI drivers i downloaded a tool called DHmodtool3 that allows normal drivers to be applied to your laptop |
