how does that work

It has to do with the timing of the wheels, the spokes have colour changing LED's through them, which flash in sequence to the rotation speed of the wheels. They flash slower when the car is moving faster, and faster when the car is moving slower. It's really not that advanced.

I havnt found any info on this particular unit however one must assume its using the ol 'lights change while moving fast trick'.
Basicly the 3 sets of 'bright LEDs' change as needed while spinning to create whatever jpg you have previously loaded onto the lil memory chip stored on the mag somewhere.

Personally i'd have a KFC 21 piece bucket on em, fuking awesum

edit:beaten, also the effect really only needs 1 set of lights to work, but the 3 would be a great help at low speeds and the illusion look brighter
