From what I can figure, my xp pro will only allow 1 client to be VPN'd into it at a time, is it possible to have 2 people connected to my computer or is it just the way of VPN's to only allow one connection at a time because of port restrictions or something? I gather XP pro is out but I have a plethroa of linux cds here I can install & find some open source VPN server.

So, is it possible to have 2 people connected at the same time (different user accounts) or is there some higher issue preventing multiple logins?

This should take care of all of your problems:

http://openvpn.net/

It's powerful, reliable and supports Windows, Linux, Mac .. the whole lot. I have it running at home and at work across different operating systems.

Brilliant piece of software.

thanks I'll certainly check that one out

edit: hmm, I can't seem to make C&C generals work over that openvpn thing, but it works fine over the build in xp thing. Unless the incomming connection thing in xp isn't a true vpn (I ticked enable vpn connections)?
