Check it out here > http://www.elderscrolls.com/downloads/media_movies.htm

Weighs in at 8.5 meg and only has about 15 seconds of game footage, but oh, the beauty.

It was just a teaser to wet appetites until the release in a week and some. If you havent seen the 20 minute E3 trailer go download that stat. http://www.gamearena.com.au/files/details/html/the-elder-scrolls-4-oblivion-20-minute-preview-footage

Looks boring, but it's basically the sequel to Morrowind so i wasn't expecting anything else.

The more screenshots I see of this the more the enviroments are looking like far cry (I mean in implementation not in style) so I'm thinking it's gonna run fairly well on most boxes

^^ I would say it runs a lot slower than far cry

hermitech its clearly a rip off of MMORPGs and WOW was the first MMO ever made. I think you are foolish to question rev's opinion.

Yeah ... totally does, considering it's been in development since 2002 and is the 4th in a series.

Only 5/6 days till a us release, omg, omg.

I just got an email from Games Warehouse letting me know that my pre-order is confirmed but also advising me that they had secured more copies of the Special collectors edition and would upgrade my order if I requested it. Im not a real collector so I declined but I thought I'd let you guys know. They are offering the standard pre-order for $77.95 (with t-shirt) and the collectors for $89.95.

I am looking forward to running this on my machine and seeing if I can enjoy the genre as I have been looking for something different to the 'same ol same ol' in FPS at the moment. As long as it keeps me occupied until ET:Quake Wars gets out.

apparently it runs "flawlessly" on an X1900, P4 3Ghz and 1Gb ram.
I'm almost there (a64 3000+, 1gb) just to get an upgrade on my radeon 9700 pro.

I really don't see how you can all be putting a white glaze over your keyboards for screenshots like those. The outdoor foresty environments look pretty, but it mostly just screams "generic artistic direction", and looks technically average while doing so.

A big from me.

did you watch the 20 minute, the game renders the forest itself, everything is placed where it is in the game by the game *the forest that is*

the more i look into this game the more i like, at first i just bought it cause morrowind was kicking rad and i need a decent game to buy my xbox360 with, see as most the aussie launch tittles are crap and this is the only kind of first person type game i can stand on a console.

the way they have implemented sneaking into the game more looks amazing and so does all the npc's having there own AI, for example in the 20minute movie where th e npc gets sick of her dog and paralyzes it then the dog gets back up and annoys her some more so she fireballs it. alos the way your character listens into a conversation over hears of some trouble enquires more and wallah a new quest.

the exploring was the main fun for me in morrowind, they didnt show to much on the exploring side of things in any of the gameplay videos ive seen thus far for oblivion. id also wouldnt mind knowing if there were any underwater areas that you can explore, but i guess ill just have to wait and find out.

Psycho, Im guessing the collectors edition will most likely be DVD while the regular edition will no doubt consist of 4 to 6 cds. I'd be more than happy to pay extra to just have one DVD to install from.
