actually, while on the topic, anyone know of any good other news stories like this about the game industry? from overseas or local shows? I remember ages ago a documentary about a dude who plays FPSs or something, and no I don't mean FPS doug

There was an mtv special on it, it was mainly about fatality again. It wasnt that great tho.

I've just finished watching it, there was much LOL at some of the stuff in the clip... cracks me up how they think this 'has just happened' - welcome to 6 years ago.. granted 'preofessional' gaming is/has taken off in the past few years, but wcg/cpl was about it (at least) 2000

Given the time frame it has more or less 'just happened' for the target audience that's going to be watching the show on Sunday night.

Ok so it might not be on the same time plane as the dinner you had last night, but a more routine thing like that is bound to keep 'just happening' every night, so it becomes no big deal.

Just watched it, cool story.

only thing i didnt like was that guy saying he started the cyber athlete.... thats kind of stupid.
