It is with great regret that The Next Adventure and Michael Coppel announce the postponement of the final ten dates of U2's Vertigo '06 tour.

This action is unavoidable due to the illness of an immediate family member of one of the band.

well 400tix sold for the arena, doubt the walkup would have been anything more than 100, from what i've herd none of the shows came close to sell outs. Probably would have still broken even tho.

It's actually a really good album, it just hasn't been promoted at all in Aus.

I was going to the 4th of April concert at Yokohama in Japan. It sold out on the same day that the tickets went on sale.

I know that they would never pull a tour without serious reason to do so. Only 10 shows left. . . They have been touring for a year!!!!

I hope that whoever's daughter is sick will make a speedy recovery. Not for me and my ticket, but for the band member, who's music has given me so much throughout the past 20 years that they have been my #1 band.

I was just listening to the radio and apparently Kanye (who was touring with them) is still touring. Not sure of the details though.

god dammit. i found out 2 days before they announced the postponing, that i had won a free ticket to the sydney concert, free airfair, and free accomodation including meals and drinks.

U2's support act Kanye West will go ahead with a series of shows despite the Irish rockers postponing the Australian leg of their world tour.
