just watched this and it kicks some serious ass all over the place. anyone else seen it?

allegedly when filming this movie they used guns and tanks that they borrowed from real gun dealers because they were cheaper than fakes

Yeah the stockpiles of guns are real, owned by gunrunners because its cheaper than having so many fakes made.

Absolutely Favourite movie, extremely enjoyable.

I saw it a little over a month ago on my way back from japan. Flying signapore airlines, they had it as a movie you could watch. This was late January.

Not a bad movie. I liked it how it all rolled in in the end. About the US and what not. Nice ending, A little dragged out though.

yeah nice movie, intro was awesome shot through the eyes of a bullet, and the ending was a good change to most crap.

i agree, it was very anti-hollywood stereotype and was fantastic, paticuarlly for a political thriller, but I mean, considering it was by the guy that did "the truman show", you know that you're going to get a different kind of movie. Not a fan of Nicholas Cage, but he won me over in this one, I loved it

It was a great movie. Nicholas Cage was damn good in this one. That beginning quote was classic.

Awesome movie. Loved the ending as well, not your typical Hollywood bulls*** happy whatnot.

Thought it was alright. Saw it around the same time as Syriana so it didn't seem so out of the ordinary. Despite the awesome, very slick/cool start, it didn't hold it. I'm not an NC fan, sick of his moping. He moped his way through this but not enough to spoil it. So overall it was alright, but if it wasn't for this thread i wouldn't have remembered i'd seen it.

It didn't do it for me like Jarhead did.

* According to Andrew Niccol, the filmmakers worked with actual gunrunners in the making of the film. The tanks lined up for sale were owned by a gunrunner who had to have them back to sell to another country. They used a real stockpile of over 3,000 AK-47s because it was cheaper than getting prop guns. The gunrunners were more cooperative and efficient than the studio or the crew.

just watched this movie, absolutely loved it. farkin well done and the sound the track was awsome as well

Movie was defnatly diffrent not your average hollywood flick, lots of realism in it, top movie but. 8-)

I hate X actor but Y movie was still good. Who cares if you hate some actor, what really matters is their acting.
