Yeh... it was one of those songs I wrote when I was in 'one of those moods'. Unfortunately I find it much easier to write music when it's depressing stuff making all my music sound brooding and heavy.

Real Player plays it fine.

Too depressing dude, although it would fit well into a montage scene in The OC. Prolly be good for the end of 3rd season when all the kids are heading off to college, only after Ryan and Marissa having a fight while Seth and Summer are just getting back together. Julie Cooper moving back into the trailer park and Keke turning back into an alcoholic. Sandy selling The Newport Group and walking out its front doors one last time.

I reckon it would work well dude.

yeah i agree it's more creative to write music when your emotional, especially if it helps to take your mind off it.

can we expect to hear this belting out at UQ band comp 06?

something was recorded too loud or the conversion too mp4 format is s***, hence the distortion.

Sounds cool though, gotta get of my arse and record some stuff too, no vocals for me though, I cant sing for s***.

I hear what ya mean dude... at first i thought I had it too loud in my headphones. Everythign was recorded at the right levels... I think it's cause of my noobness at mixing and using FX.

I rather liked that song, it even played in itunes quite nicely.

some of it sounds forced, "i could reach out and hold your hand" -- and the forced part is: "BUT NOW" - like, it's out of place, almost as if you should only have a single syllable word there instead (but you shouldn't), or a word that doesn't start with an impact sound like b p d t and all them. could just be the recording quality too ...

other than little things like that, it's fairly professional
nice one

Well a lot of that second verse was made up on the spot in one take so there wasn't much effort put into the lyrics there. I still think it's fine though. The only bit I don't like about it is that the second line i sing is slightly out of time.
