Well, As I have said earlier. I have a 802SH (Vodafone phone). I have tried a optus sim card and a vodafone sim card in it, And it comes up with SIM MEP. And I have talked to a vodafone chick who unlocks the phones, And vodafone can only unlock Nokia mobile phones. I bought the phone in Japan by the way.
So I thought I would have to visit the mobile phone shops in the valley to get it unlocked. Could someone please point me to one? |

Walk out the back of the Myer center where Ticketek is and cross the road and you will find a small shop full of mobile phone accessories. They can unlock it in about 10 minutes regardless of what phone it is. Top end of Elizabeth Street I think.

If so superform. Please share!
I stayed out in the country. In the northern island Hokkaido. In a small city called obihiro. It was/is very cold there. I was there for 10 months. I won a scholarship funded by QR. The exchange itself was through a company called AFS. Where are you? |

I'm in Nagoya. It's hell cold here compared to Brisbane, but nothing compared to Hokkaido. So much snow around that area this year.
Did you learn much Japanese in the 10 months?? |

Nagoya? Nice weather there. Only gets down to about 0 right?
The morning I left Obihiro it was -10. The coldest it got down to while I was there was -25. Blow bubbles outside with bubble stuff and the bubbles freeze and smash. Good fun. Great english :) |

Oh and yes. I learnt a bit of japanese while i was there. My first 4 months my host parents spoke nothing but english to me. They had me as an exhange student to improve their english. But then at the end of month 4 i said f off and speak japanese. So after that it was pretty good. my other mates though, At the end of 10 months, They were pretty much fluent.
I met many pretty nice japanese girls while i was there. Who all wanted to take naked purikura with me.......Make sure you pick the good ones though. As alot of Japanese girls have STD's. But yes. I met quite a few. I went into the 2nd grade of high school. So after school it was always, "lets go to karaoke" Statistic: 60% of japanese girls loose their virginity before the age of 15. And 50% of japanese girls loose their virginity in a karaoke room ;) |

Actually yes. Gotta love been a big gaijin. ;) But the unflowered girls are really shy. They are the lights out sort of girls.
Yeah I had an alrite time. I won't regret it. But I had many problems. I'm slowly typing up a report/blog about my time in japan. And it will be huge. All about Japan's problems. |
