THE grieving mother of a 16-year-old girl killed in a shocking car crash in Perth on Friday morning blames police for the tragedy.
Nikkola Hayward was a passenger in a stolen car which became airborne and slammed into a tree in William St, Beckenham, soon after police stopped pursuing the vehicle.

Two other passengers in the car, aged 11 and 13, were injured and are in hospital.

Of course this is all the police's fault, people should be free to steal cars without the worry of being chased or arrested (sarcasm off). These people have no one else to blame except themselves, my opinion is that if they commit a crime, they loose their rights. Take responsibility for your own actions!

Hehe, I miss out on watching the news alot so I like to check out the news websites. Plus my last "news" post was 3 days ago, its not like im flooding the forums.

I think the main reason that people blame the police is that they don't want to think that their darling children could ever do anything wrong, and instead of blaming the ones responsible (their children) they blame the police because they were there).
Of course had the police not pursued these people, and an accident had occured, whats the bet the police would have been blamed for not doing anything?

I wish the police had the power to shoot on site no questions asked. If you steal a car, rob a bank, rape someone, you should just get shot by cops. Keep the scum off my street.

yeah that's all well and good whoop, but there is such a thing as a 'mistake' ... and losing someone close to you because of a 'mistake' isn't exactly a pleasant thought. shoot to kill requires too much accuracy for police judgement, ever seen judge dread? what you're saying is relative to that movie

we need to rewind 200 years - the system worked then.
opium bars were legal, convicts were transported to a strange land on the other side of the world, murders, thieves, rapists etc: were hung without question.

Seven young Aborigines fled the house and left the scene in a stolen Holden sedan.
Whether its stolen motorbikes into picket fences or stolen Holdens into trees, why does this ethnic group continue to steal + crash & die + blame police?

Four injured in police car chase
FOUR teenagers are in hospital after a car they were travelling in crashed during a high-speed police chase today.

The car crashed into a wall in the south-western Sydney suburb of Bankstown shortly after the chase began on Rickard Road about 12.20am (AEDT), police said.

The 13-year-old boy who was driving the car and a 14-year-old girl suffered serious injuries.

Another 14-year-old boy broke his collarbone in the crash, while a 15-year-old girl received facial injuries.

Story

And it happens yet again, will be interesting to see if the police receive any grief over this one as well.

So everyone is an ethnic group then? I think you should have a closer look at #2.

What's wrong with number 1? They're alternative definitions, they don't all have to be fulfilled

Relative to other groups, I don't see why not.

This is utterly screwed. And what's worse, as a result of this you're probably going to see more rules implemented saying when police can and can't pursue.

How is it that people can complain about things when they're breaking the law? Because oh yeah, criminals should have rights. Sounds like they want the right to ignore laws and do as they please too.

But once those whiners have been robber or what ever, their going to be the ones jumping up and down wanting the police to pursue them.

It is hard to comment on this sort of thing really.

Sure its easy to say, FARK they shouldnt be stealing the cars!1

If you call someone a worthless little s*** often enough they will start thinking the same and acting like one.. So it is big complex mess.

The police also, should not have power to pursuit taken away. Other avenues sould be approached to address the situation.

One thing I've learned is that if the little individuals kick up enough of a stink, the big companies/corporations/the government will fold like the school geek. The chief of police should come out and say "STFU! We can pursue whoever we want, whenever we want! GTFO of my press conference!"

I have heard this one before... not necessarily true. Some of the most successful people out there have lived a life of adversity and had many people doubt them/have been told they will amount to nothing but the opposite has occurred?

So umm, yeah where is the proof that this is true? Or is it like...

My computer keeps away tigers... do you see any tigers here?
