for some reason, i can no longer use cuteftp to upload stuff to my webspace (i like cuteftp for its shell integration)
i have tried ws_ftp, it wont connect either i can connect fine through cmd line am i missing something here? address: members.iinet.net.au username and password (work fine in dos) ive got norton firewall on (allowing both apps through) ive forwarded the port on my router (should i have to, it didnt work before either) cuteftp actually connects to the webspace, but then uploads at 0.01k/s wont give me a file listing or upload or download anything ws_ftp wont even connect, it just makes train noises at me what am i missing here? |

tried everything
thought it mite be a nis vs sp2 thing its not, decimate cant connect either using windows ftp clients i can connect fine to my xbox using ftp just not to iinet seems my router wont let me through, even with port 20/21 open surely i shouldnt have to open up any other ports for this to work its so frustrating that its connecting, but then no data can get through :( |

hi thar fellow dg834v2 user, is it possible to change modulation etc or is it all auto on these things? no reso unfornatly not, ive also been looking to change the modulation on the 834 there no way to do it that i know of it auto trains and thats what your stuck with :( the 834GT can be changed, farken netgear, you could possibly compile your own kernel with the 834 source code and do something simliar to the 834GT's firmware, might take a lot of uber lunix coding skillz tho. 8-) (not my cup of tea otherwise id do it!) PS. the 834 v1/v2/G models all use same firmware and are all based on a TI AR7 Mips CPU, the 834GT is based on a Broadcom Mips cpu... last edited by 0z at 21:11:09 12/Jan/06 |

next suggestion try reflashing the Firmware
other then that you can telnet into these things using "http://insert your routerip/setup.cgi?todo=debug" to enable debug mode then telnet across via dos prompt, i dont know my ip table linux rules but maybe try this? last edited by 0z at 21:50:56 12/Jan/06 |
