Topic: Holidays anyone?

Any of your guys or girls taking holiday's over the festive season?

If so anyone going away?

I would love to be able to take the family on a holiday (never really been on one before, even with my family).

Is it really all it is cracked up to be or is it better to stay at home and annoy each other at home?

I finish up work in a few weeks and I won't be returning *yay*

I never particularly enjoyed family holidays except camping ones. I'm going to try and get down to the snowy mountains sometime during the uni hols. If you havn't been there, you really should at some point in your life. Camping is pretty cheap and there are nice sites. The main ranges walk is just stunning.

Working in retail = no holidays now.
So end of January it is - camping for a week or so.
If I'm going by last time it should be bloody awesome, drinking, cricket, soccer, huge river nearby, almost noone else there = awesome.

I'm going to Azeroth for my holidays, probably spend a bit of time in the Rogues Isles too.

Was trying for Melbourne, but I'm too broke.

Nah, its not the plane fare I can't afford, its more the money I'd spend while I was down there for a week :)

I'm looking at going during my holidays in May next year instead.

family holidays are almost always forced affairs. really, everyone who is going has to want to go, and has to have input as to where it is and what they'll be doing, or they'll just end up whinging or bored.

holidays in general are overrated, people should spend more time enjoying all the time they have, and less time hating their current lifestyle and waiting for their hollies

I've never been on a holiday, not once. We never had enough money when I was a kid to go away anywhere so I guess its a case of you don't miss what you never had. As a result, I'm probably more happy to just stay at home or annoy mates than to go away to a hotel for a week or go camping. Another bad thing I guess you could call it is that I can't relax, only time I'm relaxed is when I'm asleep. So if I did go away I'd always be looking for something to do, or sleeping. Well I don't need to pay $200 a night to sleep at home.

Over the holidays, I sometimes get so bored I just wish they'd end so I could go back to work.

cs_master valid input there, really needed that, heck maybe you should be a motivational speaker?

Resigned from my job, finish up the 21st. So Holidays until I find a replacement job or start study and get a replacement job.

My holidays involve looking for new job, deciding what I want to do (try a couple things, work experience for the win!) and buying a new car! YAY!

Getting WoW this week... so here's hoping I don't become an addict (doubtful).

Did the whole family holidays thing when I was younger. I never enjoyed it, I'd much rather be at home on the pc then on holiday. However, I do plan on visiting some places in australia and around the world. Finland (prob some other euro countries), Japan, USA, Canada, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.

What I really need is a job that will enable me to work in those places, then I'm set!

My wife and I are in Australia fro our christmas holidays.
Been here 2 days so far and still tryingto gt used to the heat and jetlag.
We are going to spend a weekend at the Gold Coast and a few days up in Townsville.
Apart from that we are simply going to relax and enjoy the family time.

It most definetely counts!!!

However, if you change your mind and decide that you'd rather a "better" holiday, I'll be happy to take the ticket off your hands :).
