Saw Wolf Creek last night

Based on true events, 'Wolf Creek' tells the chilling story of three backpackers travelling in remote Outback Australia. When their vehicle breaks down they accept help from a friendly local.

It soon dawns on them that he has no intention of fixing their vehicle, or of them leaving... ever again.

It's suprisingly good, but unfortunately is let down by the claims of being based on real events and a some what swishy ending (though not a Happy Hollywood ending). It was also good being able to see a movie on a Friday night and it not be full of kiddies (R18+).

The movie starts off as a really nice fun road movie, then drops in to a very tense slaughter fest. There's some difficult scenes to watch, and the characters are likeable.

It's certainly significantly better than the other horror/thriller out at the moment, The Devil's Rejects.

Anyone else seen it?

I'm definately going to see this one...all things horror are good :)

And I thought Devils Rejects was far better than House of a 1000 Corpses, but I'm a massive Rob/White Zombine fan.

I went and saw it last Saturday night with my mate and sister.

They both enjoyed it, I got bored... very predictable and well the gore didn't really entertain me... or scare me or well anything me.

Rev's post pretty much sums up the story, but there were bits (like in all scary movies) that they just did stuff that was totally stupid.

I'd like to see a movie where the actual horror was as intelligent as it says it is, ala Saw. Now that was a movie the horror/bad guy actually had thought things through.

My opinion, dull, not enough bare women flesh and predictable.
