Hello QGL. I am looking at purchasing an LCD monitor and I came across this model:

TCL 19inch 600:1 TFT LCD Monitor 8ms with Spks silver/black(30days 0 bright dot dead pixel policy)

Now that monitor is retailing for $409. I have tried searching around for reviews and found nothing, and the company web site gives a few specs but I would rather get a human's opinion before buying. For that price it seems to good to be true since the equivalent specs on a BenQ cost over $550. So does anyone know anything about the brand name or that particular model?

I noticed these pop up at Umart. They're so much cheaper than everything else that I'm loath to trust them. I've never heard of TCL...

Wouldn't it be wiser to go with a brand you can trust?

tcl is a known brand it just hasnt been in oz for long. just like benq few years back.

if its in your price range and has what you want, get the store to demo and if you like what you look at, f**k the name on it

The 30 day 0 dead/bright pixel warranty is a big plus, I honestly wouldn't buy an LCD these days without one.
