This maybe old to some of you but I thought this was pretty neat.

For those of you who use the MS-DOS prompt a fair bit, basically this gives you a right-click option on any folder in explorer enabling you to open up a Command Prompt window with the selected folder open.

Anyone else know of any more useful tips like this one?

I already have that, I think I got it from maybe power toys or some other tweaky program I installed then forgot about.
these are pretty basic but if that cmd thing amuses you then these might too
You can press the windows key + ..
d & get your desktop
f & get a find files dialog
e & get windows explorer
r & get the run box
m & it'll minimize most/all open windows, almost the same as win + d but not quite.

and to post on qgl you can hit alt+s in IE & firefox, doesn't work in opera though :(

Win Key + Pause/Break is the strangest one I came across, so very handy to know too.

I wonder how many peeps here first came across regedit when they had to switch CD keys on their HL install after getting banned from 20 CS servers after spending a few hours testing out the latest OGC hook???

i was being intimate with regedit today while trying to get rid of the virus that keeps on f***ing my system over.

first became intimate with regedit to edit a cd key yes.. (not cause i was banned, just because when you warez a friends legit copy you do the right thing and change the cd key to a generated one.

I think I first became acquainted with regedit when I either broke my pc or when I was just bored messing around....come to think of it, regedit is probably how I broke my pc :)

fun trick to do back with windows 98, I stuck the shutdown command in the run key of my brothers' computer. rundll.exe user.exe, exitwindows or something. Makes windows shutdown correctly so no harm is done but damn it's funny watching a computer boot up only to shutdown again. Then he switched to 2k that bastard. (2k doesn't come with shutdown.exe does it? only xp I think?)
