Actor Daniel Craig ended months of speculation by being named to play James Bond in the upcoming 21st Bond film, Casino Royale. This movie uses the title of the first of the spy novels written by the late Ian Fleming. Another version of the book, a comedy with Peter Sellers and Woody Allen, was filmed in the 1960's; this film has not relation to that movie.

Sony Pictures Entertainment has just announced via Reuters that the official announcement as to who will play James Bond in Casino Royale will be made at a news conference in London this Friday, October 14.

They could dye his hair black and give more of a sauve look. Besides the best bonds were not really English anyway - Sean - Scottish, Brosnan - Irish. I don't like Moore as Bond dunno why he just doesn't look suited the role for me.

He'll be ok I think, after all Brosnan wasn't that well known before 007, who knows what this guy is like. Maybe he'll go the same way as George Lazenby and only get 1 movie ;)

I'll agree with you there. From that photo posted he look too up-tight. Bond usually have that cheeky, smart alec look about them. I thought he (Danial) was ok in Tomb Raider as a smarmy/sharming item for Tomb Raider. Then again my observations might have been somewhat... lacking with Jolie in that tank top and short shorts....... :D

Casino Royale was the first Bond book, and was as boring as s***. ^ Thats probably the plot from the book. I'm sure it'll be much different.
