In the United States a federal Judge has ordered the public release of an additional 87 photographs showing detainee abuse at Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison.

A federal judge ruled today that graphic pictures of detainee abuse at Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison must be released over government claims that they could damage America's image.

Four videos will also be released with the new pictures, these videos are said to be more shocking, containing images of "naked detainees, and that groups of men were forced to masturbate while being photographed and videotaped." Yet that’s not all, there is also evidence that shows "male MP guard having sex with a female detainee."

dont get me wrong, if 'harsh' treatment is apart of the interrogation process, to gather information from certain suspects, fine (to a degree)... but MPs being bored/'having fun'/nothing better to do... GO to Jail, do not pass go, do not collect your military benefits!!

im not pro or anti war .but the amount of coverage abu ghraib gets to me seems unwarranted .yes torture is abusive.

i remember b4 the 1st gulf war there was little to nothing on the news about iraq or saddam. this was when saddam was nation wide torturing his people and chemical ahli was doing his thing.

Yes you are most of it is propaganda but I believe when a country 'invades' another country to save its people from a tyrant, it should not let its soldiers do as the previous tyrant did.
