I was thinking about running TV-out to my tv and getting a cordless kb + mouse so I could play WoW on my tv.
Anyone tried this before? Or would it suck? My tv is average, just a Sony CRT. |

I would have thought you would find it hard to read all the little dialogs and stuff?

Your first problem there, is your playing WOW.
Secondly, why bother? Unless were talking huge ass screen, then its not worth the effort. Just get a big LCD, save up. |

Why are you bothering?
The text would be impossible to read. |

You could probably do it on a projector or HDTV.

I've done it quite a few times with NFSU2 since you don't have to read... much and I do it with SNES roms. But for WoW it would suck.

Yeah. For WoW it would suck.to much text to read. But if you have an awsome tv, digital, You shouldn`t have a problem.

I've used it for things like F1 Challenge before, but as said, WoW has too much text. TVs are generally fairly low res, and aren't too suited to anything that needs reading.

Yah we have a media computer set up for TV out for things like AVIs which it's good for. Web browsing and gaming it sucks for since the text is almost impossible to read (limited to 640 * 480 for most TVs). There's a couple of exceptions though since with the text size turned up large it makes a good TV guide to flick to quickly on a web browser and it is good for old arcade game emulation if you buy the right game port controllers since most of the emulator games I want to play are low res anyway (mame, 8 bit, zsnes etc)
