Has any one else seen the new keyboard and mice that logitech have brought out.

I've already placed an order for a G15 and a G5 mouse.

G5 Mouse

G7 Wireless Mouse

G15 Keyboard

I've currently got a Logitech Mx Duo and think it's time for an upgrade.

What do people think??

EDIT: Forgive my lack of linkage skills.

Im happy with my mx510 here. I wouldnt be game to use cordless s*** for gaming yet. I tried using my mates cordless logitech to play cs the other day, you really do notice the difference in aiming.

Got me an Logitech Combo for work.. with the MX1000 mouse. Not bad, very chunky compared to the MS V3's... long live.

Thanks for sharing that with us Fik, that stuff is cool. I don't think cordless keyboards and mice are that bad for gaming. I get by fine with my wireless set. But then again I don't play many FPS's.

I just bought the MX900 (comes with Bluetooth hub) as a replacement for my MX700 which must have dropped on the left button somehow - made every 3rd left click sticky an not work

Seems fine to me as it's a better mouse than my old one plus I don't have to buy a bluetooth dongle now (saves me $50)

Like I stated in my first post I currently have the MX Duo.

The kb and mouse are ok for gaming, I find in NFSU2 that sometimes the keyboard goes spacky and becomes laggy.

My mouse has become very laggy within windows itself, selecting text is a nightmare...and the reciever is about 10cm away from teh mouse.

Also the mouse doesn't sit right in the cradle, so it doesn't charge unless you frick around with it for about 5 minutes.

HN = Harvey Norman?? If so i haven't seen the Saitek sticks at my local one. But they have the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro ones. And the consensus seems to be that you either get one or the other. Both are very good.

Yeh I ahave a logitech strikeforce extreme F/feedback at the mo and its pretty good but I did like the look of that Saitek setup. I believe he said he got in from Harvey Norman at Carindale?

I'm in the market for a new mouse but I have NFI what to buy. My intellimouse v3 has started randomly and sparraticly double-clicking on single clicks (which is a kind've common, known problem with their switch mechanism) but I've heard that the recent models of logitech do the same s***. Sucks, because it's still going strong in other aspects.

Does anyone know much about this, by chance?

Ima make damn sure I get a hold of a G5. Looks mad. MX500 is still going fairly hard, considering I bought it 2-3 weeks after they came out

I have a MX500 too. Had it long time. Quality mouse. Still works great. If you want a very new mouse tho, get MX1000. Otherwise unless it affects you in some bad way, a new MX500/517 won't hurt as a replacement. The G5 mouse is just a gamers version of the MX1000 btw. As the cool looking red MX517 is the gamers version of the MX500.

p.s i emailed you too Hashy.

My intellimouse v3 started doing the exact same thing and it drove me f***ing crazy. It was sporadic too, sometimes it would work, sometimes it would double click all the time, sometimes it would double click now and again. It even fixed itself, but probably because I got angry with it and threw is across the room (and I generally abused it). After a long stint of it working it f***ed up again so I got rid of it. A nice mouse otherwise.

Pyscho, yeah, I got my X52 from HN @ Carindale for $199

It has a touchpad style mouse on the left controller that you can use under mouselook when in the cockpit and comes with the ability to program the buttons using it's own software (which when loaded, takes priority over the actual games configs apparently) though I haven't attempted to do anything with that stuff in BF2

- as yet =)

Pity I didn't think to go look up Erik The Red (he works @ one of the HArvey Normans)

Astroboy, that keyboard with the LCD's was a prototype I think. I remember reading that it had a patent pending on the website.

Logitech keyboards are awesome. I would prolly buy something like their new one when my current keyboard starts to die. Also, I wish Logitech would make mice that can be used right and left handed like the MS Intellimouse ones.

The Optimus KB is cool, but how reliable would the dotmatrix displays be on the buttons.

They would probably get dead pixels within a month or too.

I don't deny that it is a bloody good idea though.

I bought a Logitech® MX™1000 Laser Cordless Mouse and i am realy impressed with the performance it is smoother than my optical mouse thats for sure. Look at teh demo on the website it will explain + its got a docking station so all u goto do is put it back and the batt wont go flat.

Its a mouse with freaking "LASERS"

Anyone else have problems with logitech chargers. All i do is put my mouse in the charger and the light doesn't come on. So now i have to move it around till i get the light on.

I've already got one charger that is completely useless (KB+mouse pack), and my MX1000 is starting to go too. Unforunately cause the KB+Mouse recharger is also the wireless receiver, i've got to have both running :-(

The MX1000 is much better than earlier mice as it turns itself off when not in use, and has an actual off switch too.

advice on charging logitech mx700 mice, and others with charging station

1 - i have found the main reason mine doesnt charge is that i forget to plug in the charger, dont go 'you f***ing noob' it gets kicked out of the powerboard for more important things

2 - the two small copper contact plates on the bottom of the mouse pick up a thin amount of dirt and other assorted crap and stop it from making contact with the contacts on the charging station, basically just wipe off the contact pads and it should charge just fine

3 - if your mouse is getting around its third birthday, the original nihm batteries are getting to be like a smokers lungs, they are having a hard time keeping their charge, and they only last for a fraction of their former lifespan, try some new nihm batteries

anyway those are the general problems ive come across so far, hope they can be of some assisstance to those who are too stingey to buy a new mouse and keyboard

ps - new mx3100 coming in sometime this week, old mx duo has had a few too many birthdays :D

I usually just rub the prongs on the charging unit and then stick the mouse in and it is right as rain.

Otherwise there is a lot of fricking around to get it too connect.

Just like a car battery, you need to keep clean the contact points every now an then.
