wipe it off.....you could probably use metho and get it off without damaging the cd, but i would check up on that before doing it :)

also depends where the line is and which way etc.

No, it actually increases the performance of the cd.

Isocol?? i think its called..a rubbing alcohol. If you get it all off the disc should be fine IMO.

cd seems to be reading fine in my cd-rw drive, should a dvd player have any problems reading it?

Aerosol is f***ing ace for cleaning off marker and pretty non-abrasive I'd imagine, being designed for use on skin and all

permanent marker on writeable side of cd ?

that's where you're supposed to put s***, on the writeable side you nub. Of course it's not going to bother it one little bit.

I posted a solution and it was so simple it made me want to shoot myself in the face that you'd even need to post for help.

try writing over it with non-permanent marker and wiping it off, it works for whiteboards, then you dont have to risk the alcohol/whatever damaging your disc.

yes its working, and the only reason i asked was because cd's get hot when they are in the drive and i didnt know whether it would like melt onto it and go all gay or something.. Better to be safe than sorry.
