Topic: Idea for new stats(what do you think)

I was thinking that to show your strength's and weakness'es you could have map based stats for eg.
Say you were playing Milita you could have stats like this.

Milita:
Time spent on the map
Average kills per game/round
Times played CT/T
Hostage's rescued

For a VIP map
Times played VIP
Times escaped
and even the quickest escape
Average kills per game/round
Time spent on that map

For a bomb map
Times carrying the bomb
Times you successfuly planted bomb that detonates
plus any of the b4 mentioned kill stats
Times defused bomb

These sort of stats would certainly show who the most effective players were at sticking to the senario for each map.If you listed the maps for each player in order of which one's they were best at they would then know
1.what maps they need to brush up on
2.which team CT/T they are best in per map
3.Other players could see who the guy's are who try hard to complete their mission goals(this could be handy for finding new clan members who are team players)
4.These stats would also show who the best all round players are.

I don't know if you guy's who do the stats could get this to work but it would certainly be worth looking into.

What does everyone else think?

Yeah Taipan, great suggestion.

I am not sure if it is possible to implement some of the ideas though.

Well have a go anyway Nathan :Þ

Most of it would be possible (although might take a bit of work); however the stats stuff is a low priority for us right now.

Could we cut the fag talk?

Back to the topic, Gen posted those EXi stats. Their definitely the best stats I've seen so far.

I think that CS is about being a complete player by this I mean being able to frag the f*** outa ppl while still keeping your eye on the objectives.

It's not just enough to have the most frags any good camper can get a few kills(I know not all the good players camp)only the best players get kills while completing the mission's set out for their teams and stats should reflect this just as myself and Geno have said.

Taipan i totally disagree
its about team. the way u talk it about wo an death match the best.
if u work as a team and cover each other's ass and work together u will win. a single player should mean nothing in team games.
like when ( IF ) TF2 comes out , the player should not matter its the team.

and in tf2 there will be stats and people like genocide and the loa fags will take them way too seriously

f***pot very nicely put I'm sitting here pissing my self laughing.

Dilbert:I don't totaly disagree with you maybe I didn't make myself very clear. My point was that if you are going to have stats then they should reflect all the aspects of the game to show who truely are the best players(guy's who can kick abit of arse but still compltete any mission)

I think Geno knows just what I'm talking about.

If getting frags was the only thing that counted then it wouldn't be a team game it would be DM.

My definition of a good player in CS:
A player that knows his place in the team and works with them to achive the teams goals reguardless of the size of his ego.
