Hey does any body know how to fix a power calabration error on a burner. I have a crappy panasonic 8x20 (mats***a CW-7503) with crappy acard scsi. If any one has any idea please post them. My burner works perfectly at 4x buti can't get it to burn at 8x, i have tried 5 different brands of cd's, and i run win2k. cd creator, nero, fireburner nor cd-r win work. I have aspi 4.60 on my machine and all of the correct drivers. If anybody has and idea on how to fix it other than get a new burner, please post them.

have you checked the panasonic web site?
*sometimes* cd burners can be accidently packaged incorrectly.

check the product id codes.

hope this helps some :)

Well a mate I know had the same writer as you and had the same problem. Basically he just took it back to the place he got it from (sunlit, so he wont be seeing a replacement for a few years).

They may rock for cheap prices, but they are apparently SOOOO dodgy. And don't even mention their service, it doesnt exist. :)

I know someone who had similar problems with that particular model, it was rectified by running the firmware update.
Go back to the Panasonic site and look for a firmware update.

And yes, Sunlit are known for lax warranty replacements.

Sunlit have also been caught dodging tax on their stock. I'd recommend you to steer clear unless you're buying a genuine product that, chances are, won't have a chance in hell of becoming faulty....

Weren't they also accused of chip remarking a month or two back? I'm almost certain they were.

Apparently you have to work at Sunlit for like 3 weeks for no pay if you want to work there... sounds preety dodgey to me
